What it funds

The call under Action 1.2.2.1 of Abruzzo's ERDF program funds digitalization projects: online sales channels, CRM, order and inventory management, process automation, dashboards and data analysis, cloud and software as a service, artificial intelligence, IoT and cybersecurity (vulnerability assessment, penetration testing, backup and disaster recovery, endpoint protection). Hardware, software, licenses and cloud fees are eligible. The rate on the card is the maximum: the applicant picks the aid intensity from preset values in the call. The ceiling applies to the grant, the threshold to the spend.

Requirements and what is left out

  • Anyone not based in Abruzzo.
  • Generic communication, routine social media management and advertising campaigns.
  • Cloud costs that are plain running costs and do not serve the project directly.
  • Anyone building the project on consultancy: it counts only up to a percentage of the investment, and the expert appraisal has its own separate cap.
  • Sectors excluded by the de minimis regulation.
  • Anyone who has already used up their de minimis allowance: the grant is awarded under that regime and counts against its three-year ceiling.

How to apply

  1. Have the SPID of the legal representative or the professional ready.
  2. Define the project and choose the aid intensity you request.
  3. Submit the application on the Region's online portal inside the window.

Arrival order alone does not decide: the Region publishes daily provisional rankings and orders applications by score. On the very first day of the window, requests already covered the allocation plus the margin the call provides for, as the notice from the competent office reports: the window's dates do not change, but anyone applying later competes for funds already fully requested.

What this budget builds

The call is broad, so the work is choosing. I connect the management system to the online shop and the CRM, so orders and inventory stop living on two different spreadsheets, and build on top of it the dashboard management genuinely reads. On security I start from a vulnerability assessment and a 3-2-1 backup tested with a real restore, before buying anything else.

This entry is informational and is not advice: I do not handle grant applications, and before committing to a purchase it is worth reading the official source above or talking to whoever files the application.
