What it funds
It is a loan to be repaid. The measure started as a loan plus a grant share, granted within the available funds: those funds have run out, and for new applications Invitalia grants only the subsidized loan. Pages that still quote grant percentages describe the previous version.
Eligible spend covers machinery, plant and equipment, software and information technology services, patents and their licenses. Older companies can also bring trademarks, younger ones also working capital. The legal basis is Title I, Chapter 0I of Legislative Decree 185/2000.
Requirements and what is left out
- Anyone older than sixty months, or a medium-sized company: the measure is only for young micro and small enterprises.
- Anyone whose partners and capital are not mostly held by people aged eighteen to thirty-five or by women.
- A company set up no more than thirty-six months earlier has a lower investment ceiling than the one on the card, which applies to companies between thirty-six and sixty months old.
- Turnkey contracts, used goods, in-house work, pure replacement investments, taxes and services supplied by related parties.
- An innovative startup also has Smart&Start Italia: on spend already backed by ON a second aid can only cover the part left uncovered, within the EU state-aid limits.
How to apply
- Check the company's age and the makeup of its partners.
- File the application online on the Invitalia platform: there is no other channel.
- Wait for the assessment, which follows the chronological order in which applications arrive.
What this budget builds
For a young company I deliver the core information system: the management software integrated with invoicing and inventory, the data gathered in one place from day one, and the cloud infrastructure that hosts it. I deliver it in lots that work on their own, because a loan is repaid by the business that system has to support.
This entry is informational and is not advice: I do not handle grant applications, and before committing to a purchase it is worth reading the official source above or talking to whoever files the application.
