Lazio SME Digitalization Voucher

What it funds

The grant is not a share of the spend: the Lazio Innova call assigns a predefined amount to each type of intervention, and a project is the sum of the types it picks. There are five: a digital assessment, digital workplaces, digital commerce and customer engagement, migration to the public cloud (application servers, databases, web servers, backup) and cybersecurity. The ceiling on the card is the one for medium enterprises; for micro and small ones it is lower. The grant is paid out in full with no expense reporting.

Requirements and what is left out

• Anyone without an operating site in Lazio or not on the Companies Register.
• Micro-enterprises on the digital assessment and on cybersecurity: those two types are reserved for small and medium ones.
• A project made of the digital assessment alone.
• A small project: under the minimum total grant set by the call the application is not eligible, so one type on its own is often not enough.
• Anyone planning several projects: one application per company.
• Anyone who received a grant under the earlier Voucher Digitalizzazione PMI calls and has not yet requested its payout; those who have cannot repeat the same types.
• Anyone who has already used up their de minimis allowance: the grant is awarded under that regime and counts against its three-year ceiling.

How to apply

1. Get a digital signature for the legal representative.
2. Fill in the form on GeCoWEB Plus: filling in opens a few days before submission does.
3. Pick the types of intervention and work out the score you self-declare.
4. Submit the signed application inside the window.

This is not first come, first served: once the window closes, Lazio Innova ranks the applications by total score and reviews them in that order until the budget runs out.

What this budget builds

The budget comes in modules, so the work is planned in modules. I start from the assessment, which says which types make sense, then move the servers that live on the premises today to the cloud one at a time, with the backup verified before the old one is switched off. On the customer side I connect the online shop to an e-commerce platform and to the CRM, choosing software as a service over one more server to maintain.
