The 2026 window is closed

Applications stayed open for three days in early September and the Chamber's page announces no reopening. The call lets it refinance the measure or reopen the window if funds are left over, but no act has done so yet. This page explains how the measure works ahead of the next edition.

What it funds

This is the Reggio Calabria edition of the national Twin Transition program, with a call of its own that, unlike those of some other chambers, stays on the digital side only. Each company files one application.

  • Technology. Artificial intelligence, cloud, cybersecurity and business continuity, high-performance computing, big data and analytics, IoT, robotics, blockchain, integrated business systems, CRM, geolocation systems.
  • Consulting. Assessment of the digital profile, development plans, implementation of the eligible technology, management systems such as ISO/IEC 27001 and ISO/IEC 42001, a temporary external Innovation Manager.
  • Training. For employees, on digital skills tied to the eligible technology.
  • Bonus. A legality rating or a gender-equality certification adds a fixed amount on top of the ceiling.

Requirements and what is left out

  • Websites and basic IT are excluded, unless tied to an eligible technology.
  • Also excluded: online advertising, SEO and SEM, tax, accounting or legal advice, regulatory compliance work, certification costs and the company's day-to-day running.
  • Companies that received the voucher in two or more previous editions cannot apply, and nobody can get the same work funded twice.
  • Spend outside the window: costs count from the call's publication up to a deadline set after the award, which ends the reporting period.
  • Linked suppliers: the supplier may not control the company or be controlled by it, nor share partners, directors or substantially the same ownership with it. Consulting and training must come from the call's supplier categories, including EDIHs, certified Innovation Managers and innovative startups.
  • Spend below the threshold: if the company spends less than the share of approved costs set by the call, the grant lapses.
  • Stacking: allowed with other de minimis aid up to the de minimis cap and with general tax measures up to the total spend. The voucher still counts against the de minimis allowance.

What the editions teach

The 2026 call excludes companies that already received the voucher in two or more previous editions, so the Chamber treats it as the continuation of its digital vouchers, issued in the past as the I4.0 digital vouchers. With a three-day window, it pays to arrive with quotes and documents already in hand. I don't know whether the measure will return: no act says so.

What it builds

A voucher this size suits a single piece of work. I bring a first artificial intelligence use case to the documents the office sorts by hand, or secure access and backups and leave a written procedure the staff can follow.

This entry is informational and is not advice: I do not handle grant applications, and before committing to a purchase it is worth reading the official source above or talking to whoever files the application.
